A brilliant hidden camera show that aired on MTV in 1996. Dave, Travis, and Frank drove around in a white van developing practical jokes to play on anyone, anywhere. Classic pranks include the Spring Break Shuttle Bus, and "Super Duper Shopping Experience". The logo for the show was a yellow smiley-face with crosshairs over it. A person who destroys someone's fun and "stamps out the fire".
Buzzkill's are often generally accepted as "negative assholes" and exploiters. They tend to be party-crashers, a home-wrecker and/or just a naysayer. etcetera

We were watching a great movie, with an enjoyable plot, good acting and top notch special effects. Then Bob starts nitpicking something that once we thought about it, it totally ruined the movie for us. That guy is such buzzkill.
So, I'm talking with a few diffrent people on MSN Messenger, alternating between them. We've all got interesting, intelligent conversations going. Anyway, suddenly one of them chews me out because he feels I'm not giving him enough attention. He totally killed my mood. What a buzzkill.
