Yellowcard - what is it?
1. A 5-pretty-boy band from Jacksonville, Florida, one which is a violinist. They are overplayed on radio stations and on television.
Appreciative people blindly call them punk; they are truly an emotional/pop group with instruments.
Much of the population of listeners appreciate their "money over matters" music, while an equal whoop-ass amount of people see them as shit.
Yellowcard can be called good, and they can be called shit.
I'm just trying to be light on the negatives. They really suck.

Yellowcard is one of the more underated bands of today, nobody really takes notice of how good LP is at drumming, or ryan songwriting abilities.
Most people when they think about Yellowcard they most likely will say ''arent they the ones who sang ocean avenue????''mainly because they lost most of there popularity due to leaning towards a more rock sound in there latest albums.
Yellowcard is somewhat unheard of now, but in my opinion are better than they ever were with the new album.

A band that will, in the near future, save the punk genre. Face it, hardcore assholes. Anyone who says "YLWCRD IZNT PNK" Has probably not heard the album WHERE WE STAND or the new single "Lights and Sounds". OCEAN AVENUE was not a punk album and neither was the song of the same title, but the one after it was and the one just released this year (LIGHTS AND SOUNDS) has a few punk-ish songs.
They are often confused for Yellow Card, which is a penalty in soccer. Also, stupid teenyboppers sometimes say "OMGZ! YLWCRD HZ A VIOLIN!!! THR SO ORIGNL!!!". Blue October has a violin. Led Zeppelin has an organ. Panic! at the Disco has a techno keyboard, piano, organ, and accordion. Which band is most original?
Yellowcard will release another album in 2007 or 2008.

Although I havent heard their earlier albums i have heard their two singles "Ocean Avenue" and "Only One" and have since gotten the album and love it cuz they freakin rock.And anybody that says u cant be a yellowcard fan just cuz u havent gotten their first albums can go screw themselves cuz thats the most action they will get in a while.

1. A punk rock band with roots in Jacksonville, CA. They consist of Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ben Harper, Pete Mosely, and Longineu Parson better known as LP. They are one of the few bands to have a violinist in the lineup and they played 2004 Warped Tour.
2. According to the band, "yellowcard" was another way of saying "party foul".

A pop-punk, pop-rock band (also called Punk Revival by AOL music) with a violinist. Currently consists of Ryan Key (lead vocals,guitar), Sean Mackin (violin, vocals), Pete Mosley (vocals, guitar), Longeneiu W. Parsons III (a.k.a. LP)(drums), and the newest-- Ryan Mendez(guitar). Ryan Mendez filled in for the past guitarist, Ben Harper, a.k.a "Ben Jammin'" by fans. Not the Ben Harper some of you may know.
Formed in Jacksonville, FL. All the original members went to a performing arts high school, seen in the Beyond Ocean Avenue: Live At The Electic Factory concert DVD.
As a small majority of people know, Yellowcard has been around since 1997, and released their first CD, "Midget Tossing" which is now out of print. All their CDs have been on indie-labels until Ocean Avenue.

The band name was coined by the members having partys, and a foul in soccer is called a yellowcard, so they used yellowcard as a party foul, such as spilling a beer. Don;t listen to the hate-definitions. They're not definitions, just idiots spreading their opinion (which yes, they are 'entitled' to...). I'm here to give you the story.
