Xbox 360 - what is it?
The new gaming console from Microsoft, it has a similar amount of power to the upcoming PS3. Generally recognised as a fine gaming machine, with a good variety of games and developer support.
Both John Carmack of ID software (makers of Doom and Quake), and the head of Team Ninja Mr Itagaki (Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden), have professed prefering to develope for the Xbox 360 over any other next-generation consoles.
What does "Xbox 360" mean?
(n.) A item that works perfectly fine as long people don't leave the damn thing on 24/7, and then seem so surprised that their xbox overheated and got the red ring of death. The item also seems to attract a lot of unwanted critiscism and insults from sony fanboys who bought a shitty system, now ashamed about it, and decide to speak shit about xbox to make PS3 look awesome.

Xbox 360 - what does it mean?
When you play this thing too much it will hate you and blowu up in your face. It will also sound like a Yeti if you tilt it in any diretion while standing up. It will also blow up after playing to much GRAW or any other super wack off game.

Depending on who you are, this is either one; the greatest game console ever, or two; a piece of shit. The 360 is a good game console, and is financially a better choice that the PS3 considering that its a hundred bucks cheaper. On the down side, it has cooling problems, which can lead to the Red Ring of Death.
Their are three different types of the 360 available; the Arcade, which doesn't come with a hard drive, the Pro system which comes with a 60GB hard drive, and the mighty Elite with comes with a nice 120GB hard drive and black finish.
The 360's main competitor is the PS3. Many people seem to think that the PS3 has better graphics, but they are really about the same. The real facts about the PS3 that make it better than the 360 are that it has a lower failure rate and it is slightly more powerful. The 360 is better than the PS3 in the fact that it's cheaper, and has more available games. Overall, each system has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Owning a Xbox 360 can be much like gambling. You're either lucky, or not lucky.

Microsoft's next generation console; rivals the Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Revolution.
New features include:

When released, the Xbox 360 will employ the most powerful graphics chip ever created. ATi (Xbox 360's GPU supplier) boasts that the Xbox 360's unified shader architecture allows the console to run at 100% efficiency, while previous consoles ran anywhere at 50% to 70% efficiency. While the PS3 employs more brute strength, the Xbox 360's streamlined processing will allow for overall better performance than the PS3.
With the fact that Xbox 360 is such a multifunctional media hub, Microsoft hopes that the Xbox 360 will appeal even to consumers who are not gamers.
Xbox 360 is unique from PS3 and Nintendo Revolution in that it is really focusing on Xbox Live, and taking online play to the next level.

A system released by Microsoft to attempt to get them a lot more money. Although the system is cheaper then the PS3 you actually end up spending double the cost of a PS3 in full since you have to buy all of the things a PS3 would come with standard.

However, the object requires a substantial amount of electricity to operate and will eventually overheat itself if not burning down the domicile first, rendering it as a cost-ineffective short-term solution. Manufacturers disguise this by making the overheating component produce shiny, detailed, interactive moving pictures as a pretext for not fixing the defective part, but the additional pieces needed to use this feature are also cost-ineffective and easily damaged.
The U.N. had contracted 20 shipments to deliver to Africa as heat generators/food cookers but reneged when the initial shipment combusted en route.
As of 2008 the machine is still outperformed in reliability, cost and supply by the obsolete technology known as wood, which is powered by sunlight and friction as well as various readily available peripherals.
The manufacturers have not yet devised a strategy to deal with this new development.
