A drug prescribed for anxiety/ panic disorder but is EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE.
I have severe panic attacks (usually alcohol related) that send me into the emergency rooms. The attacks are so bad that I have even gone into cardiac arrest and as soon as they give me an Xanax it all goes away and I leave feeling like a total nut! At first Xanax feels great like a pink fluffy cloud but then in as soon as ten days of use my body shows signs of addiction!! Now couple Xanax with alcohol and I have passed out on my living room table knocking my front teeth out, blacked out and woke up in a pool of blood or my face beet up and teeth knocked out. If YOU think you may be addicted to Xanax don't try quitting cold turkey because it could kill you. You have to wean yourself off these fractions at a time! Even then the withdrawal is horrible and you end up feeling more panic that the reason you took them in the first place! I am weaning myself right now as I type this. Last night I had no sleep, I've had anxiety feeling like my body is dieing, chills, hot flashes, itchy skin, mood swings, light/noise sensitivity, inability to focus or concentrate, etc. All this on about 2 mg total a day!! It's sneaky like the devil and when it's got you, it's got you good and you are it's slave. I have gotten off Xanax several times and do it by weaning, drinking adequate water, dry brushing skin, alternating hot and cool showers, and focused breathing, soothing surroundings, and someone to check in on you so that you don't drown yourself in the shower. Xanax is the DEVIL!

Xanax is a drug and is one of the most commonly abused benzos. This is used for anxiety and is also commonly abused. The prescribed dose goes up to 2 mg also known as a bar. That is the most commonly abused dose. It is recommended to not take more than this as it can cause side effects such as memory loss and even death. Overdose is rare unless combined with other drugs such as alcohol.

It is SUPPOSED to be used to treat moderate to severe anxiety disorders, panic attacks, and as an adjunctive treatment for anxiety associated with clinical depression. Like all the other entries for Xanax, talking about it is a deadly drug like heroin and meth. Thats only if you OD like a dumbshit cockstain. I take a bar at work and i feel fine and i am very hyper and it makes you not scared of nothing. You could come home with your house on fire and not even care. Until you sober up from it. It makes you not care and they should make it over the counter. I love them it's the greatest pill. You dont give a fuck about nothing. Hold on you don't give a fuck about giving a fuck.

anti-anxiety pill that has both positive and negative effects, can be a wonder durg for people who have very high anxiety ( like myself ) and also can be a nightmare because of the addiction factor. xanax makes me feel so good i want to take it all the time but at the same time i have done some pretty terrible stuff on it. the following is based on my personal experiences with xanax
positive:
- no anxiety
- euphoric state of mind
- feeling of superiority
- feeling of indestructability
- the ability to fall asleep whenever
negative:
- careless
- basically, removal of your conscience
- slow speech, slow movements
- desire to steal
- falling asleep while driving
- 10x stronger when combined with alcohol
My friends describe me as being a zombie while I'm on Xanax

Probably the most potent benzo (anti-anxiety) drug out there. Must be taken with caution and great responsibility. It is very addicting, so the key is to use it in moderation. You can go up and talk to pretty much anyone and say almost anything with ease. It is good for parties and such, but you must first get a feel for the drug before doing or saying anything stupid. It also is a great tool for ADHD and studying, as it will get rid of any clouding. stress or illusions that are blocking your view.
So basically, you are disillusioned when taking and realize how much life up to age 18 with skills you have is pretty much worthless and predetermined; and realize just how messed-up and weird the world we live in really is.
Xanax turns off almost all of your emotions and helps you to access parts of your brain that are harder to access. You will realize how much most of society is an illusion and it's cultural influence is mostly irrelevant. It is similar to Marijuana in a way, only the major difference is, you have literally almost no emotions or fear, and the high is pretty small, and more like drinking alcohol and relaxing.

Pretty dope benzo. It is mainly used as a anti-anxiety medication but its affects make it commonly abused. It will relax you and make you not care about the little things in life that stress you out, for example your house could be burning down, wife is cheating on you, and a bear is chewing on your leg and while on xanax you are at peace. You don't feel depressed or stressed and thus it allows you to sleep. Greatest sleep aid ever but continued use will get you dependent on it and the effects tend to be less dramatic as continued use rises. Think Office Space
