A figure of speech, popularized by an early 1900’s blues artist and later by Led Zeppelin. “When the levee breaks” can be used to describe preparation in a catastrophe.
“My mom is coming in to town this weekend, so hopefully you can make it. I’ll need you to be there for me when the levee breaks.”
