Upz - what is it?
Background:
This is a variation of the word Hook Ups. Created by Anwar Ibrahim and the Company, " Urban Hook-Upz"
Hook-Upz has now been a common way to write hook-ups. was developed as a way to distinguish the company on Google. At the time Urban Hook-Upz was a clothing company selling, "Urban Wear Hip-Hop Clothing." Buying Bulk wholesale clothing from China was sold under the category Urban Wear. Anwar was Hooking friends and the Hip-Hop community with discounted prices. Thus, the name, "Urban Hook-Upz was created. Over the years a graffiti font was created by his company and was named Urban Hook-Upz. This graffiti font became one of the most downloaded free computer graffiti fonts on the internet. This helped to create more and more normal use of the the word Hook-Upz with a letter "Z" at the end. You can now find others using the word Hook-Upz with a "Z". Hook-Upz with a Z is now being synonymous with the word Hook-Ups. Hook-Upz is now being used around the world as a slang term for similar meaning to hook ups.

UPZ was a slang for UPs, created by Anwar Ibrahim and Urban Hook-Upz . The UPZ slang is now being used around the world especially in the Hip-Hop community where it originated. The variation of Ups was made to distinguish Urban Hook-Upz from other companies on the internet. Later a free computer graffiti font was created with the name Urban Hook-Upz. At one point, this graffiti font became one of the most download computer fonts on the internet. This spread the slang of using a letter "Z" instead of a "S" when using the word, UP. You can now find this variation being used more and more in American and Hip-Hop culture.
