proably the most popular show that is appearently very addictive, that is based off of Langley High School, most of it is actually fairly accurate, minus all awkward moments, they jus seem to hookup immeaditly after getting dumped or dumping someone,

This is simply another example of how stupid teenage girls can be, and how blatantly homosexual males can be.
The OC is a show, came out in about 2002/3, and ex a very inaccurate example of how people in Orange County live. They live a rich, extravagant, life, with stupid situations that really make me wonder how the show can be addictive. I have watched one episode, and the whole thing was just a bunch of poor acting, with badly written drama. And I'm not uneducated to say so. There's multiple formats which shows can follow, consisting of raised stakes, and climatory action. I didn't get entertained until some guy got the living shit kicked out of him. That was kinda cool. But the girls I was with were like "OMG RYAN AND MARISSA FINALLY HUMPED." I'm thinkin, the first girl I humped I don't even think about anymore. Even though I go to school with her...
The show is just plain bad, and addictive to people with small minds. There's plenty of addictive, BAD shows out there, with good writing. 24 is a perfect example. That show's got terrible acting (a lot of the time) but it's still very captivating, and holds all that stupid bitch-drama that a lot of girls like.

the best show that has ever graced television. like a soap opera, only with a better plot, better actors, and better filming and sets. everyone is ridiculously gorgeous and rich, even when they are "poor". and the drama never ends

An amazing show on Fox about kids living in Newport Beach. Many people are wrong by saying this is inaccurate because they are not describing the Orange County as rich and fabulous only Newport Beach. The average house in Newport Beach is 4 million dollars. Anyways this show deserves to stay on TV forever just like Saved by the Bell.

A lame cookie cutter teen soap opera set in lame cookie cutter Orange County, California. No one in Orange County watches this show or calls the place "The OC". This show mainly caters to hicks and hillbillies in the Midwest and The South.
Thanks to this show, loser hicks from places like Tennessee and Iowa are coming to Orange County looking for the lifestyle of the characters in "The OC". As if Orange County needs more superficial people. Once they find out that they can't even afford to live like an illegal alien let alone the super rich lifestyle seen on the show they usually end up going back to Tennessee, prostituting on Beach Blvd or end up homeless.
The OC sucks and it doesn't represent Orange County well. The OC is a fraud.
The OC - definition
A show not actually filmed in Orange County but an area near it. The show is dispised by everyone who lives in Orange County because it depicts their town as far easier to get pussy than it realy is. The Real OC is inhabited by many cock gobblering faggots who enjoy listening to KMK. Most of them are detriments to secioty and should be shot. This does not speak for the entire inhabitents of "The OC" though. There are many people who do not enjoy Suckeling cock living there.

A show that is horrifically innacurate and contains mind-numbingly bad acting, yet is shockingly entertaining every week. All the people who hate on the OC are wannabe non-conformists who rebel against anything "mainstream" and go slit their wrists at night. Stop trying to be cool. We all know you secretly watch it.

Congratulations to the guy who managed to tie rubbishing "Ja Rule" (another brilliant example of how mindless crap can be turned into a quick money spinner) into the OC.
I look forward to many a thumbs-down from the masses enraged by this momentary slip into reality... not until after next weeks episode though of course. Keep believing the purpose of mobile phones is to liberate you, rather than ensuring the fast-food industry has a perpetual supply of drones to man the cash register to pay off their "txt" compulsion.

A great show whose major flaw is its characters are hopelessly gullible and unbelievably trusting of obvious liars, cheaters, and criminals. A guy could do drugs, shoot people, rob banks, and yet as long as he talks about his feelings with Merissa, she will trust him completely and assume him to be genuine. Ryan could see a guy doing drugs, shooting people, robbing banks, and talking to Merissa about her feelings, yet not do a thing because the idiot girl tells him that she trusts that guy.
The OC: Hey Merissa I'm an ex-felon arrested for rape who just broke out of prison. I have drinking problems. Wanna go hang at my sketchy place with us alone and talk about my feelings???

Yes, it is addictive, probably inaccurate, and stupid. However, many people (including myself) still love it - that doesn't mean I am trying to pattern my life off of Marissa's, it just means I like the show. So everyone who has nothing better to do than bitch about how it shows the decline of America should find more interesting things to do and realize that everyone is allowed some guilty pleasures; it's only a t.v. show. We all know that.
