A process which aims to turn people into products; a global warehouse selling pieces of everyone and our privacy to the highest bidders.

Phorm - what is it?
The ability to disregard an individuals right to Privacy whilst browsing the Internet.
Implemented at ISP level, Phorm's software will monitor your personal browsing habits.
What does "Phorm" mean?
A parasitic marketing technique, which involves intercepting web site traffic to profile ISP user's interests and affiliations (without explicit consent from either the web sites or their users) . Profiled ISP users can then be subjected to targetted advertising for competitor web sites (hence, parasitic marketing). Generally very unpopular with ISP users for legal, privacy and security reasons. Generally rejected by web site owners whose copyrighted content is scanned and abused to promote their rivals.

Phorm - what does it mean?
(verb) The act of harvesting your entire Internet browsing history, contents of pages visited, webmail etc. and selling it to the highest bidder so they can target you with ads, steal your identity, kill your credit rating, and so on.
