What does "Never Mind" mean?

A novel by Mark Lindquist about a man who refuses to grow up. It references many different bands, especially those from Seattle and/or the grunge scene, and the book contains many sex scenes. The name of each chapter is a reference to a song, such as "Hell's Like Teen Spirit", or "Sometimes in Winter", although in my opinion, the funniest chapter title in the book was "Courtney Love Must Die".

I read Never Mind Nirvana the other day, and now I can't stop listening to Pearl Jam.

Never Mind - meaning

...feel the width. Phrase used to persuade you that quantitiy is more important than quality. Originated from unscrupulous London backstreet tailors palming you off with cheap material instead of the good stuff for your suit.

"Hmm. This suit smells of dead germans and cat piss, and is sturdy enough to both restrain a rutting wart hog and give me heat-stroke if the mercury climbs above 60 degrees, my good man".
"Never mind the quality, feel the width my son! They don't make cloth like this anymore!"

Never Mind

1. A phrase that can implicitly mean, "sorry, I'm a dumbfuck," "forget that," or "forget I said that because it's idiotic and incriminating." Often used when the person spoken to has no fuckin' clue what the hell you're talking about.

Idiom: 2. "Don't bother" or "don't trouble yourself, it doesn't matter" or "It's no big deal." 3. "Not to mention, or certainly not." 4. "It's none of your beeswax, don't concern yourself with that."

1. Me: You're so nadia, Nadia. You make my heart race and my head crazy.
Nadia: What!?
Me: Never mind.

2. I was trying to get some help with my cuckoo brain, but never mind, I'll figure it out on my own.

3. I can't talk the talk, never mind walk the walk.

4. Never you mind where I'm going to take a piss.
