What is Lambertville, NJ?

Lambertville, NJ is one of the most desirable places to live in NJ. It's on the Deleware River. It's touristy and filled with antique shops, coffee shops, restaurants, and art gallery's hosting artist that believe they are amazing. Many musicians in the area also believe their mediocre talent is a gift to the earth. These 'artists' are considerd local celebrities, but honestly it's not hard to NOT be "famous" in a town of 4000 residents. Especially when you post your name on every-other street corner.
25 years ago Lville was a fairly poor lower class town that has been completely gentrified by rich yuppies who seek landscaped safe streets to walk their pure bred dogs on, and a small school district in which "lil Tommy" can succeed. Some of the whitest and smallest public schools in NJ are in Lambertville. But even if these schools aren't good enough for the snobbiest locals, it isn't far to several private schools with Princeton NJ and Solebury, PA in close distance.

Popular for being across the river from New Hope, PA ( a louder drunker version on Lambertville, NJ), and for the Lambertville High school (abandon school that has burnt down twice, and the towns historical society still refuses to bulldoze) and also for Shadfest (held in april yearly), a festival created to draw tourism and celebrate the swimming of the Shad up the river. Bringing delight to the fisherman who gets to catch the fish, and discust to those who have to eat the oily bottom-feeder.

I love Lambertville, NJ. Too bad no one warned me that when eating Shad, at The Shadfest I'd need a bottle of Listerine to get the taste out of my mouth.
