What is Instant friend?
A person who hops from social group to social group desperately trying to be accepted. They pretend to be interested in whatever that group likes or is talking about. He or she doesn't realize that if they stopped trying to make people like them and were just themselves, they would be much happier.
I like The new guy, but he spends so much energy trying to fit in to our group, it seems like he is trying too hard. He's cool, but the instant friend routine is total overkill. trying too hard, fit in, trying to fit in, rejected, accepted, social group, social clubs, cliques, popular, loser, loner, isolated, bully, bullying, the quiet one, lone wolf
