Hællæwood - what is it?

Fredrikstad, the hometown of movie director Harald Zwart and the wannabe film capital of Norway. The word Hællæwood is a combination of the dialect word "Hællæ", wich means hello and is the most common greating in Fredrikstad, and "Hollywood", the part of Los Angelos where film studios are located.

There are currently a Hællæwood sign on one of the main entry roads to Fredrikstad as well as one in the public cinema in the centre of town.

Hællæwood is the Bollywood of Norway.
