What is Firefox?
Many people like to uninstall Internet Explorer if they plan on using Firefox for the rest of their lives, but this isn't possible because IE is integrated into Windows.
However, it is possible to *disable* access to IE using one of the following methods:
1. Select "Set Program Access and Defaults" from the Start menu. Uncheck each browser that you would like to disable access to.
2. From the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel, select "Add/Remove Windows Components." Uncheck the checkbox next to IE.
I disabled access to Internet Explorer after I installed Firefox.

The browser everyone should use. Its faster than Google Chrome, great for privacy, and also doesn't devour your ram.

An internet browser that is rising in usage and popularity and claims better security and standards compliance than the defacto standard, IE. It does tend to take up a lot of memory and like any software has some issues.

An awesome web browser from Mozilla. It was originally derived from Mozilla's (Seamonkey) code, but now has plenty of coding of its own. It supports W3C's standards and is quite secure. Best of all, it doesn't have support for Microsoft's security hole (read: gate for hackers to enter your computer) known as ActiveX, nor does it have most of the problems Internet Explorer has.
Mozilla will pay anyone $500 bucks for volunteering to fix security holes in its software, which is free (yes, as in speech, but also as in beer). That's pretty generous.
