Definder - what does the word mean?

What is Dvorak's?

A measure of insufferable behavior. The constant (DC) is the resulting value where you describe a persons ego or ID as being equal (=), to their ability to listen (I for Input), divided (/) by their ability to bloviate (O for Output times (*) your exposure to that person in seconds (ts). The formula is therefore ID=I/O*ts... get it IDIOTS...?

Trumps Dvorak Constant is almost immeasurable! His DC is reaching absurd levels of stupidity!

Dvorak's - what is it?

She's the most beautiful girl on the face of the planet. She's pretty, sweet, and is nice to everyone she meets. She loves making friends, but she knows how to throw shade on bitches. If you're an Abby's friend, you can share any secret and tell anything to her. If Abby doesn't like you, she will tell you. She has a pretty ugly boyfriend named Jack, but he makes up for it by being an absolute fucking tank. He loves her more than anything else in this world, and that's because he is the luckiest guy in the world. Abby is the most beautiful girl in the world, but sometimes she needs to be told that and reassured. She is always going to be loved, and she always is giving love. Abby can also be used as a synonym for beautiful, or sexy. i.e. (Ab-I-Gail)

Rawr xD Abby Dvorak is so hot!

What does "Dvorak's" mean?

the keyboard layout before QWERTYstepped up to the plate.

Was used on old, crappy typewriters that jammed alot, so they made DVORAK keyboards instead of ABCDEF keyboards so typeists wwould type slower.

Why it went out of use I don't know. It's probably because typeists memorised the DVORAK combo, and made DVORAK typewriters jam, too...

Dvorak's - what does it mean?

The worse the economy, not only do the hookers get better looking, but they get cheaper.

Some postulate that additionally, hookers get more business during a worse economy, however Dvorak himself attributes this to supply and demand which often leads to an increase in business (i.e. tricks) which is driven by the need to compensate for loss of revenue caused by the same reduction in cost stated in Dvorak's law.

Dvorak's - definition

Technically the best keyboard. However, no one ever bothers to use it because QWERTY is a much more fun word.

I know a Dvorak keyboard would speed up my typing, but QWERTY... it just sounds so much cooler! I mean, Dvorak? How do you even pronounce that?

Dvorak's

A typing layout developed in the 1940's and intended to replace the clumsy QWERTY layout, designed in the 19th century to actually slow down typing. The Dvorak layout is far more efficient, allowing a typist to achieve a much faster rate than with QWERTY. There are also one-handed versions of Dvorak, for both the right and left hand.

This is the Dvorak layout:

`~ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 { }
'" ,< .> p y f g c r l /? =+ \|
a o e u i d h t n s -_
;: q j k x b m w v z

Any modern computer can be reconfigured to use the Dvorak layout.

Dvorak's

DVORAK is a keyboard layout designed in the 1920's, named after its creator, August Dvorak. The keys are mapped so that commonly used letters in the English language, including all the vowels, are in the home row. Also, the letters are divided evenly between hands. In this way, your hands and fingers don't have to move much when typing. So basically, DVORAK is efficient and comfortable in English; whether it works just as well in other languages is unknown.

Even with DVORAK's obvious benefits, it is overshadowed by the more commonly used QWERTY layout, which has become the standard for most computers.

Me: Wow I just learned to type in Dvorak and it's awesome!
You: Oh, that's pretty cool. But I'm too used to Qwerty already to learn that.
