What is An'?
Improper or regional pronunciation of the word "and" in which the "d" sound is dropped. It is not often used when written, however it can be heard in accents around the Pacific Northwest in both the United States and Canada.
Caden texting his friend: Today I will go buy some donuts an' then maybe go for a run.
Harris talking out loud: This summer was pretty good, but I can see from the snowy moun'ains that win'ner is fast approaching. I better buy some gloves an' snow boots soon.
Joe wrote in his journal that "I enjoy animals, but I really like cats an' dogs."
