Definder - what does the word mean?

What is America's Army?

The greatest free online game, which once was worth the entire week-end to play, but now because of some dumbass AA Devs, Hackers, Ghosters and Noobies have invaded this game. Such faggots as the {wTf} which is devoted to hacking and ruining anything that used to be great on the internet.

All Devs and hackers, should be brought to the Artic, stripped down, thrown in a Lake with a new breed of Artic Pirahna, which only go for the crotch, then they shall be pulled out and exectued with Bazooka's from close range.

America's Army - what is it?

Game released by the Army as a recruitment tool. However, The CS noobs/kiddies invaded it with their bunny hopping and aimbots so it pretty much sucks now, unless you find a good moderated server.

Did you get the recent version of Americas Army?

What does "America's Army" mean?

A FPS made by the U.S. Military to give people a virtual experience of being in the battlefield. Consists of big noobs who always shoot their teammates in the Special Forces missions, and consists of expert gamers who know what their doing and can pwn. Users can modify their M4A1 rifle with scopes, bipods for sniping, grenade launchers for heavy assault, and with silencers for silent kills. Free, good graphics, good physics. Speaking of which, the developers have added rag doll physics to the game making it more realistic, the rag dolls are very light, meaning they can fly sky high when blown up by a RPG or grenade. Somewhat associated with weed.

America's Army really makes me want to join the military!

America's Army - what does it mean?

In the early 2000s, the United States government developed and freely distributed a video game known as America's Army. The stated intention of the game is to encourage players to become interested in joining the U.S. Army. According to a poll by I for I Research, 30% of young people who had a positive view of the military said that they had developed that view by playing the game. The bottom line is that America's Army is merely propaganda issued by corrupt government officials. People all across America endorse in the products of the US Army's juggernaut marketing campaign and as they engage in the game play with their own opinions about the war-mongering American Army, they quit the game with a whole new, superficial image. While the game FUNDAMENTALLY fits the definition of a playable and subliminal piece of video game propaganda and recruiting tool, a lot of players do not believe it is (due to the amount of propaganda uncounsciously imposed on them during gameplay). Officially the developers neither admit it is propaganda nor recruitment advertisement.

America's Army is a figurative and written type of message presentation, aimed at serving U.S. recruitment, but especially at giving a positive impression of the U.S. Army in general. Although America's Army claims to represent the real army and gives a lot of true information, it is biased, fails to paint a complete and balanced picture of war and the U.S. army and mainly neglects negative aspects. It is for this reason why this game may mislead and create a false impression of reality in support of the army's cause.

America's Army (AA) is a total biased piece of shit. AA is an officially endorsed game from the US Army. It's anothing boring first person shooter with online multiplayer, involving teamwork, more camouflage than you can shake a stick at, and being yelled at by drill sergeants. Pages of tiny, unresizable text about teamwork, reminiscent of horribly bland, Pollyanna-ish corporate mission statements continuously appear on the screen as you proceed to some superfluous boot camp.

The developers of games should keep in mind that NOBODY cares about graphics when the game play is like dog shit. I mean, remember back in the day, when it was OK for a video game to not have convex volumetric fog rendering and bilinear interpolated textures to be fun? Since when is it acceptable for 30% of your system's resources to be devoted to rendering shadows, atmospheric scattering, ambient light effects, and all this other superfluous bullshit that game coders keep adding to their engines so they can win some imaginary pissing contest? America's Army is a textbook example of such an atrocity.

America's Army is merely a variation of government-issued propaganada. Boycott America's Army.

America's Army - meaning

A free first person shooter game released by the U.S. Army. It is supposedly realistic, but is in almost every way unrealistic. It is just Counter Strike with Army models.

If it were realistic there would be no crosshairs. You would have to aim down the sight for good accuracy. BUT, it is all fire from the hip RAMBO bullshit.

IF it were realistic, there would be gore and blood. Blood would be all over they players body from his comrades being blown away by an RPG. But no blood, no gore. Really realistic.....

If it were realistic, firing a M249 SAW WHILE running at FULL AUTO would have ZERO accuracy. In America's Army however, you can kill someone down a fucking street.

America's Army, while a fun game to kill some time with, depicts the Army as being a fun shoot em up thing to make gullible kids join. Good Job Army..

Dude, Like Im soo gonna join the Army and fire the SAW from the hip and kill dem sand niggers like in the game..!

America's Army - slang

I pay tax dollars for this!! Oh well. Its a fun game and its free (sort of). People piss and moan about the graphics but c'mon its a free game dont expect it to be something from DOOM 3 or F.E.A.R.. They also complain that it shows a biased view of the Army. Well of course they will its a recruitment tool retards. Just because it doesnt show all the blood, gore, screaming and innocent children suffering doesn't mean it shows only the Army as a good thing. After all, the game designers are not retards, if they show this kind of stuff it will defeat the purpose of the game. Just because it is designed to recruit people doesn't mean you have to join the army. Just enjoy one the best free games out there and stop your bitching.

Gee, America wastes our tax money on ICBM nukes will never use, well-fare for lazy asses who won't get a job, and America's Army to attempt to recruit computer nerds into the Army. What a country we live in!

America's Army

Awsome tactical FPS made by the U.S. Army.
Easily the best free game available today, America's Army is based on realism. Despite cries of, "propaganda, propaganda!" (see stupidly long definition at he bottom of the page). Most AA players are in it for fun.... and this it delivers effectively.
It is easy to die in AA, ususally 3 or fewer hits is enough to end your game, and once you're dead, you dont come back until the next round. This forces players to play with their brain and work as a team, much like the real army must do to stay alive in the field.
Weapons are modelled realisticly in looks, sound, and the way they behave. The gunshots are actually recorded from the shooting range, and the reloading animations are accurate to a T.
The most interesting feature of America's Army is the way the teams are set up; there is no "terroists versus U.S.". Instead both teams see themselves and their teammates as US soldiers with US weapons. And will see the enemy as Terrorists with Russian made firearms. The oppsing team will see the exact opposite.
America's Army's graphics are nothing special, but there are no major complaints, as long as you have decent graphics hardware.

"You guys up for Some Amerca's Army tonight?"
"HUA! I just finished downloading America's Army"

America's Army

This game is tight. It is free, has incredible graphics (for being free), and is hours and hours of shoot-em-up fun.

Anyone who bitches about it being "corrupt government propaganda" or some bullshit should probably chill out. The game was obviously made as a recruiting tool, but that doesn't stop it from being one of the best FPS out there.

Anyone who bitches about it being not realistic in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE: that's because real war isn't fun. You don't develop a game to be not fun, nobody will play it. (key word here is GAME)

omg our courupt goverment made a propaganda gaem 2 get inocent children to wnat to join teh army and die! boycott americaz armie!!1

Yeah let's boycott a free game, good plan dumbass.

America's Army

A game idea based on the US army to recruit noobs into the military.

Just because you can snipe someone on the screen doesn't mean that you won't get your ass beat by some towelhead in the middle east with an RPG.

The day where we can use a mouse and keyboard to shoot someone, America will truly kick some ass.
