What is Affirmative Action?

Kamala Harris is an Affirmative Action VP! She was the most hated candidate of any politicians running & did not get a single delegate, dropping out before the debate in her home state of California to save the embarrassment! Joe Biden ended up winning the democrat nomination and because Donald Trump is an unbeatable candidate, the deep state & Obama’s Shadow government needed a way to make it appear as if Joe Biden isn’t racist due to all his racial slurs like “I don’t want my kids going to school in a racial jungle” when talking about desegregation of schools & giving the eulogy for a former KKK chapter leader & calling him a great friend and mentor (Robert Byrd in 2010) , So to to change the narrative that Basement Joe isn’t a racist corrupt pedophile, they needed to choose a black female as his running mate! So Kamala Harris won that role! So being that she was selected simply because she is black & not a single person voted for her, she is the first Affirmative Action Vice President! She did not earn her spot with votes but rather Affirmative Action because she was added at the last min to keep doing nothing to earn the black vote! Because as Joe said “You ain’t black if you vote for Trump”

Hey did you see that new Affirmative Action Harris memorial in DC they put up!

Yes, they call it a glass breaker being that she is the first Black Vice President. But I am not sure why they did affirmative action for her, because he parents owned slaves! Our government is seriously fucked!

What does "Affirmative Action" mean?

A life-line for racists who don't approve of societal integration, especially in what has historically remained white-people sports in recent decades (i.e. hockey, gymnastics).

"Affirmative action is why the (insert ice hockey team name) has a black player."
"Did he make the team over a more qualified white player?"
"Uh...uh... not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case."

Affirmative Action - what does it mean?

In America, Affirmative Action was a product of the Great Society policies of President Lyndon Baines Johnson. It was first codified into law under a series of Executive Orders (not approved by Congress, in other words), which stated that munitions manufacturers including private firms doing business with the federal government should "take affirmative action" in hiring minorities - at the time defined almost solely as African Americans.

As the Vietnam War dragged on under President Richard Milhous Nixon, Affirmative Action became part of a wider government program to bribe inner city blacks to get with the program and support their government. Of course, Affirmative Action, welfare (started under FDR in the 1930s) and other government handouts did nothing to increase the love that black people had for the federal government.

By 1978 liberal activism was under attack. President Jimmy Carter had expanded Johnson's liberal social programs to their ultimate extreme, and white, middle class Americans began to look toward the Republican Party and their rising star, Ronald Reagan, for new political direction. That same year, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 against quotas for the first time in the landmark California Board of Regents vs. Allan Bakke decision. However, Affirmative Action was far from dead and buried.

Today Affirmative Action remains rooted in American policy, although most Americans including many African-Americans find Affirmative Action outmoded for the much less racist atmosphere of the 21st Century.

Inexplicably Affirmative Action still exists, even after the election of Barack Obama.

Affirmative Action put that white guy with a college degree in the unemployment line, while that black guy who can't even write his own name got the promotion.

Asians and Jews are also targets of racism, but they get none of the benefits of Affirmative Action. It's punishment for their success, I assume.

Jesse "Affirmative Action" Jackson got Nike to loan him $600 million dollars after threatening a boycott. What an extortionist piece of shit he is.

Affirmative Action - slang

The term "affirmative action" comes from legislation like the Equal Opportunity Act which basically says that minorities (including the disabled and war vets) cannot be discriminated against for employment or enrollment in college.

That's it.

If you're complaining about getting rejected by an Ivy League school (and supposedly a black person, who you are quick to believe or imply is therefore under-qualified, got accepted instead), and not for the reason we mortals can't even dream of going to an Ivy League if we wanted to: the money; you're only proving why we need affirmative action.

If you believe the Ivy League is the epitome of higher education and not getting to attend such a school is equivalent to being denied the right to education, you're part of the problem.

If you have the time and resources to post these anti-minority rants on teh internetz, your argument holds little weight just by that fact.

White people: black people are not your problem.

(ps this is coming from a white guy who didn't even finish the writing portion of the SAT and received a substantial scholarship from his university after getting accepted there)

affirmative action is one of the few things minorties have going for them to counter the effects of institutionalized discrimination. It is not racist, beyond popular white belief. the people that think it is racist are those that think "white males" are the most discriminated against(which is obviously bullshet since they are the most higher up in society). Have the skin color "white" does more for a person than any trivial thing like affirmative action.

minorities already have a burden just because they might have different color skin. many white people(not all) just cannot stand the thought of other groups having a slight advantage(which it really isnt since so few minorities compared to others actually get to get into those institutions that it counters the belief that a black person is taking a job etc from a white person because of the fact that the workplace, college is probably already 70%+ white)

did u know that after the civil rights acts of the 60s, it only took 14 years, 14 freaking years for a white person to bring up a case of reverse discrimination. think about it Black people have had practically no rights for like 300 yrs in the country and 250 of them they were slaves, and when they actually get some "rights" it only takes white people not even 20 years to start protesting about it.

Affirmative Action may take a couple of hundred white, asian people out of jobs or schools but compared to the millions of minorities that do not even get the chance to be in the position of getting affirmative action, those poor poor white asian people losing to an under represented minority really dont deserve pity.

im asian and yea it sucks that it goes against me but hey its cuz asians are perceived as overachieving and colleges probably think they have too much asians so thats a reason why it would affect us. but colleges can never have too many white people thats for sure.

ps. white people do not worry you are still in power, the world is not out to get you, your skin color does much much more than anything like affirmative action can do.

Affirmative Action

An action that forgets that Asian are also a minority. Makes it harder for them to get into a good college, jobs, better life, etc.

Asian: Because of Affirmative Action, I have to get a 1550 on SAT and 4.9 GPA to get into a UC school.
