What is 22lr?
A gun caliber commonly used for target practice or vermin hunting ex: rats, squirrels, skunks, etc..
Altough small, the light weight of the bullet plus the lenght of the barrel it is fired from in most cases allows the projectile to reach as far as 2miles without losing its dangerous velocity.
Sad fact: most gun-related homicides in US are committed with this caliber.
